When Apple launched the iPhone 6s in September 2015, it introduced a new way to interact with your phone known as 3D Touch.
This meant that, for the first time, the iPhone could sense how much pressure you applied to the display - so as well as tapping, swiping and pinching the screen, you could also press it to trigger a whole new range of actions.
Although Apple made a big deal about 3D Touch when it launched the iPhone 6s , many users are yet to wrap their heads around the new technology, and are therefore missing out on a bunch of features.
One of the easiest ways to start using 3D Touch is with Apple's "quick actions", which offer shortcuts to the things you do most, straight from the home screen.
Here are some of the best hidden shortcuts:
Remember where you parked your car with Maps
If you're always forgetting where you parked your car, this could be a live-saver.
When you've found your spot, deep press the Maps app and tap "Mark My Location". Maps will remember your current location, down to the inch.
No more getting lost in garages or tying to remember street intersections.
Capture those epic slo-mo moments instantly
Super epic slo-mo moment coming? This shortcut will ensure you don't waste time fumbling with your phone and miss the moment.
Deep press the Camera app and then tap "Record Slo-mo" to start filming some epic slo-mo goodness instantly.

Whether artistic inspiration has suddenly struck, or you just need somewhere to scribble, this shortcut is bound to come in handy.
On the Notes app, deep press and select "New Sketch". Now you can draw to your heart's content.
Put the iTunes gift card to work
Someone who clearly adores you gave you an iTunes gift card. Now put that gift card to work.
Deep press on the iTunes Store or Apple Store app and select "Redeem" to get your gift card added and download away.
Satisfy your music craving
Can't stand the silence any longer? Get an instant music hit with this cheeky shortcut.
Simply deep press the Music app and select "Play Beats 1" to immediately start listening to Apple's global radio station.
Launch a quick private browsing session
No judgement here. Just deep press Safari and select "New Private Tab".
Safari won't save your browsing history and asks websites you visit not to track you.
Never miss a word
Planning on being totally out of it during that early morning meeting or class? This shortcut has you covered.
All you need to do is deep press Voice Memos and select "New Recording". It will record everything, so you don’t miss a word.
Time your gym workout
Need to make sure you're holding that plank for a whole 30 seconds? It's as simple as deep pressing the Clock app and selecting "Start Stopwatch" as you hold that position.
This works well in the kitchen too, as a chef of any level can benefit from the Start Timer option.
No more waiting on tenterhooks for your boss's email
No one wants to check their email over and over again waiting for that one message from your boss to come through.
All you need to do is deep press Mail and the "VIP" selection shows you how many unread messages you have from your VIP contacts. You don't even need to enter the app.
Built-in time machine
Want to remember exactly what you were doing a year ago? It's easy with the Photos app.
Just deep press on Photos and select "One Year Ago", and you'll be taken straight to the photos you took a year ago.
Hint: You have to have been using the iPhone for more than a year for this to work.
