Samsung-Galaxy-S6-Render
Samsung has been consistent in its Galaxy S family of smartphones and the Galaxy Note line of phablets since 2011, but as smartphones get larger, phablets may have nowhere to go. Based on this ideology, Samsung will pack the best hardware in the 5.3 inch Galaxy S6 because it does not have to save anything for a Galaxy Note 5. However, if you are torn as to whether to get the Galaxy Note 4 which is up for pre-order now or just wait for the Galaxy S6 in April or May next year, here is a brief comparison to help you decide.
Performance
The Galaxy S6 smartphone will come with a far much better processor than the Galaxy note 4. Whereas the phablet has a Snapdragon 805 quad-core Krait 450 processor and Samsung’s Exynos octa-core processor for the international version, the S6 will have a more powerful 64-bit Qualcomm 810 and the 16-core Samsung Exynos 8000 for the international version. The phablet has 3GB of RAM but the S6 will have 4GB, and where the Note 4 has only 32 Gb of storage space, the smartphone will have as much as 128GB memory.
Display
The biggest different between the S faction and the Note faction of the Galaxy family is screen size. This time, the smartphone has a screen almost as big as that of the phablet, but the performance will be different. Samsung Galaxy Note 4’s 5.1 inch quadHD 1440 x 2560 pixels will be no match for the S6’s Ultra High Definition 4K flexible display.
Software
As Google finalizes the development of its 64-bit version of Android, all eyes are on Samsung to power its next flagship with the new better and more versatile OS. The Galaxy Note 4 came with Android 4.4.4 KitKat and the same old TouchWiz UI, but the Samsung Galaxy S6 is expected to come with the 64-bit Android L (4.5 or 5.0) and a new TouchWiz user interface.
Design and build
During the launch of the Samsung galaxy Note 4, Samsung released the Galaxy Alpha mid-range smartphone made of all-metal. This was clearly a sign that the S6 will be all-metal and rugged but stylish and light. If you value uniqueness and premium design and build, the S6 will be your kind of phone!
Sensors and S-pen
Because the Samsung Galaxy S6 smartphone will be large, (5.3 inches), some people may find it difficult to use. The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 phablet is a 5.7 inch device that comes with an S-pen to make it easy to enter information and make selections on the large screen. This perhaps is the biggest advantage of the Galaxy Note phablet over the S6 smartphone.
