Hello xiaomi MIUI users,
What is TWRP Recovery?
Team Win Recovery Project (TWRP) is an open-source software custom recovery image for Android-based devices. It provides a touchscreen-enabled interface with partial material design that allows users to install third-party firmware and back up the current system which are functions often unsupported by stock recovery images. It is, therefore, often installed when flashing, installing or rooting Android devices, although it isn't dependent on a device being rooted to be installed.
How to install TWRP Recovey in your device?
Step 1: At first you have to unlock your bootloader (follow this guide to know how to unlock bootloader )
Step9 2: Now download this tool. Download Link: Here
Step 3: Extract the tool. You will see these files.
Step 4: Now go to this link: Xiaomi devices recovery's and find the recovery.img which is for your device. Download it.
Step 5: Copy the recovery.img into that tool folder.
Step 6: Now power off your phone. Then press power+vol down button at the same time for few seconds. The fastboot mode will open.
Step 7: Connect your phone with your PC using data cable.

Step 8: Go the the tool folder. Press shift + right mouse, you will find the 'open command prompt/Powershell', click to open command window.
Step 9: Now type below command and press enter
fastboot devices
See, your device is connected.
Step 10: Type below command and press enter
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
Step 11: Now Type below command to go to TWRP mode
fastboot boot recovery recovery.img
Now your device will reboot into TWRP Recovery. You can install custom rom. custom kernel or any mods. Enjoy!
